"Example" of how to read thumb calendar
Please be aware that this picture appears to be showing the reading of January, but both thumbs have been shifted over one column to the right. If the thumbs were shifted one column to the left, you'd be reading January properly.

Very clever idea, but I have the suspicion I wouldn't be clever enough to use it :)
When it's pasted into my moleskine, I can use my thumbs OR the index cards I keep tucked into the accordion pouch in the back - if you just line up one on each side where your thumbs should be, it's really obvious where the calendar days are.
